1. License grant
Amity grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the Amity client software ("the Software") on devices you own or control, solely to access the Service, subject to this Agreement.
2. Ownership
The Software is licensed, not sold. Amity and its licensors retain all right, title, and interest in and to the Software, including all intellectual property rights.
3. Restrictions
You agree not to, and not to permit others to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code, underlying protocol, or algorithms of the Software, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
- Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works of the Software;
- Rent, lease, lend, sell, sublicense, or otherwise distribute the Software;
- Remove, obscure, or alter any proprietary notices on the Software;
- Use the Software to build a competing product or service, or to interoperate with the Service in a manner not authorized by Amity;
- Circumvent any technical protection measures used by the Software or Service.
4. Updates
Amity may release updates to the Software, including updates required to continue using the Service. Continued use of the Service may require installing current versions of the Software.
5. Termination
This license terminates automatically if you violate any of its terms. Upon termination, you must stop using and delete the Software.
6. Disclaimer of warranty
The Software is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied.
7. Governing law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of (jurisdiction), without regard to conflict of law principles.
